Worship Team

The primary purpose of the Contemporary Worship Team is to lead the congregation in heart felt praise and worship during our 11:00 A.M. service as well as on holidays such as Christmas Eve and other special events. Our focus is bring people into an atmosphere where they feel free to worship God.

Typically our team consists of drums and/or percussion, electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and vocalists, but other instruments are welcome as well. There is a mid-week practice on Thursdays at 6:30 P.M. and a Sunday morning sound check at 9:00 A.M. If you would like to get involved or if you have a question or suggestion, contact the director Robert Costa, by calling the church or emailing robert@umcmarshall.org

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 (September through May) to rehearse under the direction of Dr. David Sly. They primarily sing traditional SATB sacred anthems during the 9:00 A.M. service on Sundays. Everyone is welcome! If you'd like to contact us about Chancel Choir, just navigate over to our contact form page, or email Dr. David Sly at david@umcmarshall.org

Bell Choir

Bell Choir at Marshall United Methodist Church

Our church has three bell choirs! The most experienced group rehearses on Monday evenings at 6:45 PM, another choir meets Monday afternoons at 4:00 PM, and the youth bell choir gathers on Sundays at 4:45 PM. We have four octaves of bells as well as four octaves of chimes. We play in the worship services several times a year, but also like to play at community functions such as the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open House, local rest homes, other churches, and Relay for Life events. We try to accomplish musical things, but recognize that the real value of belonging to this group
is Christian fun and fellowship! Contact Marge Smith at
781-2431 if you are interested in becoming a ringer!
