This middle school youth ministry is offered for students in grades 6 through 8. We currently meet once a month as scheduled for
a variety of activities, including games, trips, and service projects. If you have questions, please contact our Director of Student

New: The Youth Bell Choir now meets on Sundays at 4:45 PM in the music room. (Directed by Marge Smith.)

Sunday, April 21: Ice Skating at Optimist Arena, Jackson 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Please bring $9 for admission/skates, and extra money for lunch. Meet at MUMC at 12:00 pm. Permission slips are on the resource page: click here
Wednesday, April 25: Youth Ministry Fundraiser Dinner at MUMC 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Help is appreciated setting up, serving, and cleaning up. Also, desert donations are welcome.

Sunday, May 13: Mother's Day Banquet (Hosted by UnderGround)
For their last meeting of the school year, UnderGround will serve dinner for all the mom's at MUMC. CommonGround students are invited to help. (RSVP required.)

Coming September 2012: Confirmation Classes
Confirmation is for any youth 7th to 12th grade, although mainly 7th and 8th grade students participate. Confirmation will consist of 8 sessions of faith exploration taught by our Director of Student Ministries, Eric Falker. Each student will be partnered with an adult mentor from MUMC, who will also meet with his/her student periodically outside of class.
